AI Transparency

Where this site uses AI
- Committee AI Assistant (chatbot). The chat widget is an AI system. Answers are generated by Google Gemini (via Google Vertex AI, us-central1), grounded in this site's own corpus — the Data as an IP Asset Part I/II reports, jurisdiction analyses, protection facets, and the live updates feed — with inline citations to the exact passages used.
- AI-collected updates. A weekly research bot gathers developments from the official sources listed on Tracked Sources and drafts short original summaries with AI. These items carry an amber AI-generatedbadge and the bot's rationale until a committee member has substantively reviewed them.
- Protection facets and jurisdiction analyses. The matrix's per-cell facets, mechanism notes, and jurisdiction overviews were extracted and drafted with AI assistance from the committee's Part II report, then editorially reviewed before publication. They carry a permanent AI notice on the matrix.
Human review and editorial responsibility
AI-generated updates are published with a visible AI label. A committee member with relevant knowledge may review an item — examining its substance against the cited source, with authority to approve, amend, or reject it. Reviewed items display Reviewed & approved by [name] alongside the AI label.
Editorial responsibility for the publication of content on this site is held by AIPLUX Technology (Vincent Chen), contactable at vincent.chen@aiplux.com. Report-derived reference content was editorially reviewed before publication.
Machine-readable marking
AI-generated blocks on this site carry a data-ai-generated="true" attribute in the page markup, and pages containing such blocks carry an ai-generated meta tag, so automated tools can detect artificial content on the page.
This is a voluntary site-level signal, offered in the spirit of Article 50(2) of the EU AI Act and the Commission's Code of Practice on Transparency of AI-Generated Content. It is not a compliance determination: a DOM attribute does not survive copying of the text elsewhere, and we make no claim that it constitutes an interoperable, robust and reliable marking technique in the sense of Article 50(2). Where the underlying model provider applies its own provenance marking to generated output, that marking applies in addition to ours.
Limitations
- AI output can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Every rating, facet, summary, and chat answer is indicative only and is not legal advice.
- The assistant only answers from this site's corpus; it will say so when a question falls outside it.
- Chat conversations are processed by Google Vertex AI to generate the answer and are not stored by us beyond the request — see the Privacy Policy. Please do not include personal data in your questions.
