Who we are
This website provides interactive tools built on the INTA Data Protection Committee's Data as an IP Asset reports. It is operated by AIPLUX Technology on behalf of committee work (contact below). It is an informational resource; nothing on this site is legal advice.
What we collect and why
- Essential session cookie (dc_session). Set only when a member signs in, to keep the session. Legal basis: legitimate interest / contract (providing the member service). It is not used for tracking and needs no consent.
- Member accounts. Name, email address, and password hash for whitelisted committee members who register. Legal basis: contract. Subscription preferences are stored with the account.
- Contributed content. Updates, notes, and PDF attachments posted by members are stored with author attribution.
- Analytics (only with your consent). With your opt-in, we use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization to understand aggregate site usage. No analytics cookies are set before you accept. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw at any time via “Cookie preferences” in the footer.
- AI assistant queries.Questions you type into the AI assistant are sent to Google Vertex AI (Gemini) in the us-central1 region to generate an answer grounded in this site's content. Do not include personal data in your questions. Conversations are not stored on our servers beyond the request. See the AI Transparency page for how AI is used across the site.
- Server logs. Standard technical logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) are processed by Google Cloud Run for security and operations and retained for a limited period.
Processors and international transfers
The site is hosted on Google Cloud (Cloud Run, Firestore, Cloud Storage) in the United States (us-central1). Google LLC acts as our processor; transfers outside the EEA/UK rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses as applicable. Analytics data, where consented, is processed by Google Analytics.
Retention
Member accounts and contributed content are kept while the committee service operates or until deletion is requested. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics settings (14 months). Server logs are retained per Google Cloud defaults.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing, and — for analytics — withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. To exercise any right, contact us at vincent.chen@aiplux.com.
